Mr. Quin Hillyer grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana, then attended and graduated cum laude from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Following graduation, Hillyer joined the New Orleans Times-Picayune as a correspondent. In 1998 Hillyer joined the editorial desk at the Mobile Press Register, gaining widespread acclaim for his coverage of statewide politics and its effect on the city as a whole. He served other organizations in various positions such as executive editor of the American Spectator, Associate Editorial Page Editor at the Washington Examiner, senior editorial writer at the Washington Times, and remains a senior editor and columnist at the Spectator. He is also Senior Fellow at the Center for Individual Freedom and a writer-in-residence at the University of Mobile. ****************

Patriotic music, Recognition of Veterans, Ringing of the Bell, and Taps Pat Downing is a graduate of the Special Forces School, the Airborne, Ranger and Pathfinder schools, the Infantry Officer Advanced Course, the Army Command and Staff College, and he was an Army War College Fellow at Harvard University in 1988-89. Pat is a 1972 graduate of University of Tampa with a Bachelor of Arts in History and he received a Masters Degree in Management from Webster University, Kansas City MO in 1981. Among Pat’s awards and decorations is the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Legion of Merit with three oak leaf clusters, the Bronze Star Medal for valor, with three oak leaf clusters, the Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the Air Medal, Good Conduct Medal with two loops, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, Master Parachutist Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge, Combat Infantry Badge, Combat Medical Badge, Ranger Tab, Special Forces Tab, Pathfinder Badge, and other US and foreign awards. Please attend and bring friends, perhaps an elderly veteran would enjoy your bringing them.
